Common Questions
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. The Free plan requires no payment information. Just register with your email and start making determinations immediately.
What happens when I hit the free limit?
You can still access your determination history and review past results. To create new determinations, you can wait for the next calendar month (the limit resets automatically) or upgrade to Pro for unlimited access.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel anytime from the Paddle customer portal (web) or your Apple ID settings (iOS). You keep Pro access through the end of your current billing period, then revert to the Free plan.
Why is the iOS price different?
Apple charges a 30% commission on App Store purchases. The $29.99 iOS price reflects this. You can subscribe at $29.99/month on the web at app.smartsep.net and use the same account on iOS.
Is my data secure?
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit via HTTPS, passwords are hashed with bcrypt, and we use parameterized queries to prevent injection attacks. We do not sell or share your data with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for details.
